New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of journalist Payal Mehta, describing her as a dedicated professional who maintained a strong connection with people on the ground.
In a message posted on X, Modi said Mehta brought a deep understanding of national issues to her reporting. He also remembered her for her warmth, kindness and personal rapport with those around her.
Describing her death as sudden and untimely, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
He prayed for strength for those grieving her loss and offered his respects with the words, “Om Shanti.”
