New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner of India and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Gyanesh Kumar, on Tuesday met the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to India, Alassane Conte, at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening democratic cooperation in line with the vision outlined at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) Conference on Democracy (IICDEM) 2026.The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in election management and the training of election officials.
India and Guinea agreed to work closely to deepen collaboration through the exchange of knowledge, best practices and institutional expertise in the conduct of elections.
The meeting highlighted the growing partnership between the two countries in promoting stronger democratic institutions and improving electoral processes through international cooperation.
