Kolkata: The Adani Group has committed to setting up a 2,000-bed multi-specialty hospital in New Town near Kolkata, with half of the beds reserved for free treatment of economically disadvantaged patients.
The announcement was made on Saturday during an interaction with members of civil society in Bhabanipur, where the speaker outlined key initiatives undertaken in the state over the past two months.
According to the announcement, the Adani Group has submitted a written commitment to establish the modern healthcare facility. Of the total 2,000 beds, 1,000 will be earmarked for free treatment of poor patients, while the remaining 1,000 beds will be used for commercial healthcare services.
