PM Modi Highlights Security, Self-Reliance and Cultural Heritage in 135th Mann Ki Baat

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared highlights from the 135th episode of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, showcasing stories of self-reliance, cultural heritage, environmental conservation and grassroots initiatives from across the country.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the programme began with positive developments related to national security and India’s growing self-reliance.

Modi praised the people of Assam for breaking old social mindsets through acts of compassion and appreciated efforts to promote sports in Nagaland. He also highlighted how Nalanda University and the Central Sanskrit University in Bihar are successfully blending tradition with modernity.

The Prime Minister further lauded the Brahmakamal Dominicana Vedic Mantra Chanting Group in the Dominican Republic for its dedication to promoting Indian culture abroad.

He also commended the people of Meghalaya for preserving the state’s iconic living root bridges, describing their efforts as a matter of pride for the nation.

Modi said such inspiring initiatives from different parts of India and across the world reflect the country’s rich cultural heritage, spirit of innovation and collective commitment to nation-building.
