Kerala CM V.D. Satheesan Offers Prayers at Guruvayur Temple

V D Satheesan visited Guruvayur Temple on Sunday and offered prayers to Lord Guruvayurappan.

The chief minister arrived at the temple around 7 am and was received by Devaswom Chairman A.V. Gopinath and Administrator O.B. Arunkumar. The Devaswom chairman welcomed him with a ceremonial shawl.

VD Satheesan, who visited the temple for the first time after assuming office as chief minister, also performed the ‘Thulabharam’ offering with butter. Around 71 kilograms of butter was used for the ritual.

Known to be a regular devotee who visits the Guruvayur temple every month, the chief minister later attended the wedding ceremony of the son of Revenue Minister A P Anil Kumar.
