An Air India flight from Bengaluru to Delhi made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport on Thursday evening following a suspected engine fire, sources said.
The aircraft, an Airbus A320 operating as flight AI2802, landed safely after the crew followed all standard emergency procedures.
In a statement, Air India said all passengers and crew members were safe and had disembarked normally after the landing.
The airline said the flight was operating from Bengaluru to Delhi when the suspected technical issue was noticed. Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
