Gold Prices Surge Again in Kerala; Silver Rates Continue to Fall

Gold prices in Kerala witnessed another sharp increase on May 20, with the rate rising by ₹120 per gram compared to the previous day.

According to rates released on today, the price of 916 hallmark gold has climbed to ₹14,515 per gram. The rate for eight grams (one sovereign) now stands at ₹1,16,120.

Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,990 per gram, while the price for eight grams has reached ₹95,920.

Jewellery traders said fluctuations in the international bullion market and increasing demand have contributed to the latest rise in gold prices.
