Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of Pochishe Boishakh, marking the poet’s birth anniversary.
In a message shared on X, Modi described Tagore as a writer, thinker and poet of extraordinary brilliance who also excelled as a philosopher, educationist and artist.
The Prime Minister said Tagore gave voice to the deepest human emotions and the finest ideals of Indian culture, while enriching society with creative energy and new thought.
Modi said the nation remembers Gurudev with deep respect and gratitude, adding that his ideas continue to inspire and guide people across generations.
