Actor-turned-politician Vijay, chief of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), secured a decisive victory in Tiruchirapalli East, winning by a margin of 27,416 votes.
Vijay polled 91,381 votes in the constituency, adding to his earlier win in Perambur, where he recorded a larger margin of 53,715 votes.
His campaign in Tiruchirapalli was marked by high-energy rallies across key areas, including Gandhi Market and the Rockfort region, drawing large crowds and significant public attention.
The twin victories underline TVK’s growing presence in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
