ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Police rescued three minor girls who were suspected to have been trafficked to neighbouring Assam. A juvenile boy was detained in connection with the case.
Police said the girls, aged 12, 13 and 15, had come into contact with the boy through social media. They allegedly left their homes after being lured by him.
Superintendent of Police Jummar Basar said the girls were safely traced and brought back. They were later handed over to their families in the Jollang area of Papum Pare district. Police said further investigation is underway.
