Candidates from various parties have filed their nomination papers for the Kerala Assembly elections as the deadline approaches.
In Thrissur, a tough triangular contest is taking shape. LDF candidate Alankode Leelakrishnan, Congress candidate Rajan J Pallan, and NDA candidate Padmaja Venugopal have all filed their nominations.
Several ministers also submitted their papers. These include P Rajeev, P A Muhammed Riyas, V Sivankutty, K Rajan and K N Balagopal.
In Perambra, LDF candidate T P Ramakrishnan filed his nomination before the District Labour Officer. The last date for filing nominations is Monday. Election activity is expected to intensify in the coming days.
