Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to intensify its campaign in Kerala for the Assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are expected to visit the state twice as part of the campaign.
Union ministers and chief ministers from various states will also take part in election events. They are likely to attend nomination filing of party candidates. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will campaign in Thiruvananthapuram. Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta is expected in Kasaragod. Manipur chief minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh will campaign in Kannur. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will attend events in Kollam and Kanjirappally.
Meanwhile, the BJP is likely to release its third list of candidates soon. Around ten constituencies are yet to be finalised. The party has already announced candidates for 86 seats in two phases. Decisions are still pending in constituencies like Thiruvananthapuram Central and Mavelikkara.
