Ajit Pawar Laid to Rest with Full State Honours; Union Ministers Join Thousands in Final Farewell

Veteran Maharashtra leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was cremated with full state honours at his native village Katewadi, as thousands of mourners gathered to bid an emotional farewell.

Chants of “Ajit Dada amar rahe” echoed through the village when his mortal remains, draped in the national flag, were brought to the cremation ground. People from across the state, including party workers, supporters, and local residents, lined the streets to pay their last respects.

Several Union Ministers and senior political leaders attended the funeral, highlighting Ajit Pawar’s stature in national and state politics. The solemn ceremony followed official protocols, with police honours accorded in recognition of his public service.

The passing of Ajit Pawar has left Maharashtra in deep mourning, with leaders across party lines remembering him as a towering political figure who played a decisive role in the state’s political landscape.
