New Delhi: In a major push towards employment generation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today distribute appointment letters to 61,000 candidates selected for government jobs under the Centre’s Rozgar Mela initiative. The programme will be held at 11:00 AM through video conferencing, with simultaneous events taking place at 45 centres across India.

The new recruits will be inducted into key central government departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Finance, and the Department of Higher Education.

Launched with the objective of fast-tracking job creation, the Rozgar Mela has emerged as one of the government’s flagship employment initiatives. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that since its inception, the programme has facilitated employment for over 1.1 million people through multiple Rozgar Melas held across the country, marking a significant milestone in the Centre’s efforts to strengthen public sector recruitment and provide opportunities for youth nationwide.
