Gold Prices Shatter Records Again, Jump ₹760 in a Day; Silver Touches New Peak

Gold prices in Kerala continue their relentless rally, smashing records for yet another day. On Tuesday, the price of gold surged by ₹760 per sovereign in a single jump, pushing it to an all-time high of ₹1,08,000. The price per gram rose by ₹95 to reach ₹13,500, marking one of the sharpest single-day increases in recent times.

The surge follows a dramatic rise on Monday, when gold prices climbed by ₹1,800 in two phases. An early increase of ₹1,400 had already rewritten history by breaking the previous record of ₹1,05,600 set on the 14th of this month.

Gold had crossed the ₹1 lakh mark for the first time on December 23, and the upward momentum has shown no signs of slowing since. Market experts attribute the sustained rise largely to global market trends and growing investor preference for gold as a safe-haven asset amid economic uncertainty.

Silver prices have also joined the rally, scaling fresh record highs and reflecting the broader surge in precious metals.
