PM Modi to Mark a Decade of Startup India at National Startup Day Event on January 16

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a special programme on January 16 to mark National Startup Day, celebrating a decade of the Startup India initiative. The event will highlight India’s transformation into one of the world’s leading startup ecosystems over the past ten years.

During the programme, the Prime Minister is expected to interact with entrepreneurs, innovators, and key stakeholders from across the startup ecosystem. PM will reflect on the journey of Startup India since its launch in 2016 and outline the government’s vision for fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation in the coming decade.

The event will showcase the achievements of Indian startups across sectors such as technology, manufacturing, fintech, healthcare, agritech, and clean energy. Discussions will also focus on policy support, ease of doing business, access to funding, and the role of startups in driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

National Startup Day, observed annually on January 16, aims to recognise the contribution of startups to India’s economy and encourage young innovators to turn ideas into scalable enterprises. The programme marking ten years of Startup India is expected to reaffirm the government’s commitment to nurturing innovation and positioning India as a global hub for startups.
