Kochi: After days of steady climb, gold prices in Kerala saw a mild correction today. The rate of one sovereign (8 grams) slipped by ₹160, bringing the new price to ₹95,600. The per-gram price also dipped by ₹20, now standing at ₹11,950.
The slight decline comes just a day after gold witnessed a sharp surge of ₹520 in one go, pushing rates closer to the all-time record of ₹97,360 set on October 17.
Market experts say the price movement reflects global trends, where investors continue to flock to gold as a safe and reliable haven amid economic uncertainties. This heightened demand has been supporting high prices in recent weeks.
Despite today’s dip, gold remains significantly elevated—keeping buyers cautious and investors alert.
