Thiruvananthapuram: Security forces in Kerala went into high alert after the Chief Minister’s official residence, Cliff House, received a chilling email threatening a “double explosion.” The message, sent to the Chief Minister’s private secretary, warned of two blasts at the residence and an additional explosion at the Kerala High Court.
Within minutes of receiving the threat, bomb squad teams and police personnel launched an intensive search operation at the residence and surrounding areas. After a thorough inspection, officers confirmed that no suspicious items were found.
The email claimed that the first explosion would take place in Faridabad and the second in Kerala. Authorities say this is the latest in a troubling string of threat mails. Earlier messages had warned of bomb attacks on the Vanchiyoor court, the Police Headquarters, and the iconic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.
With multiple high-security locations repeatedly targeted through such emails, the police are facing mounting pressure as they work to trace the origin of the threats and ensure public safety. The investigation is ongoing, and security has been tightened across key government and judicial establishments.
