New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared an article on how India’s national song, “Vande Mataram,” continues to shape the nation’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047—a vision of a confident, self-reliant, and globally strong India.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that Vande Mataram—written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay during India’s freedom struggle—remains a timeless anthem that binds 140 crore Indians with a shared spirit of patriotism and pride. Modi described it as “a mantra, a dream, a resolution, and an energy that connects every Indian to Maa Bharati.”
The article, originally penned by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlights how the song not only inspired India’s independence movement but continues to fuel the nation’s collective determination to build a modern, prosperous, and resilient India by 2047.
The government has also announced nationwide celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, honouring its enduring legacy as a symbol of cultural unity and national resurgence.
PM Modi urged citizens to make the occasion “historic” and to draw strength from the song’s message as India marches toward its ambitious goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
