Thiruvananthapuram/Kathmandu: Close to 100 tourists from Kerala, including families and senior citizens, are stranded in Nepal after heavy rains and adverse weather disrupted travel services. Sudden flight cancellations and roadblocks have left the group unable to return home as planned.
Local authorities, in coordination with Indian officials, are working to arrange safe passage. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has assured that the stranded tourists are safe and that efforts are being made to facilitate their early return.
Kerala’s tourism and NORKA departments are closely monitoring the situation and are in constant touch with Nepalese authorities to ensure necessary assistance.
