On Thursday, Nadakkavu police in this area arrested two guys for allegedly raping a woman after enticing her to an apartment on the pretence of offering her a role in a movie. According to sources, the police failed to note the two Malappuram natives’ detention. The pair asserted that they were trapped in the case in the meanwhile.
The case-related incident took place on March 4. The Kottayam woman who filed the complaint said that she was raped after being made to consume a drug-laced juice.
The complainant said in her statement to police that a female serial actor from Kozhikode assumed the role of a middleman and drove her to the flat. She stated that after presenting her to the men, who identified themselves as film industry experts, the actor exited the flat.
