Woman embarrassed at airport topless screening: Bangalore

On Tuesday night, a woman claimed on Twitter that the airport security check in Bengaluru humiliated her by asking her to take off her top. This created a huge uproar. A musician arrived at Bangalore Airport a few days back on his way to another city. After that, the merchandise and security check was completed. The Central Industrial Security Force personnel instructed the woman to remove her top when inspecting the persons after inspecting the items. He was quite embarrassed by this.

On Tuesday night, he used his Twitter account to criticise the airport and the CISF operations. He also questioned the need for a woman to strip in order to pass security checks.

The official Twitter account of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, inquired about the matter and later responded to the woman’s tweet saying, “We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused. It is usual to check clothes including jacket, coat for security check. This should not have happened.”

They added that the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) official at fault will face swift punishment. However, the profile of the lady who filed the complaint was deleted from Twitter on Wednesday morning.
