WhatsApp, a messaging app, is getting ready to launch a feature that will let users view status updates within the chat list.
Beta version 22.18.0.70 of the feature has been released, according to the website WABetaInfo. As a result, the chat list will display any new status updates that your WhatsApp contact posts.
The status updates from the tab can be muted if you don’t like this feature so they won’t appear in the chat list. Before being made available to all users, the feature has only been rolled out to a select group of beta testers.
For the benefit of its users, the messaging app has been adding new features. The messaging app will soon launch a feature for login approval, according to WABetaInfo.
This feature allows WhatsApp to ask you to confirm moving to your account on a different phone when you attempt to log in from a different phone. With this new function, when another user receives a 6-digit code from you, they will not be able to log into your account. This function is also in the works and will be included in a later update of the app.
WhatsApp is also developing a new feature that will prevent users from taking screenshots to view images and videos in order to increase user security. The recipient is allowed to take photos with a second phone or camera, but not screenshots.
This feature is currently in development for Android beta testing and will be made available in a subsequent app update.
