In an exclusive interview with Mr. S. Anand, at Guruvayoor, Prakash Javadekar, national executive member of the BJP in charge of Kerala party offers (Prabhari), said that “UDF & LDF must apologize.”
He was here to offer prayers at the Sri Krishna Temple. He said that 32,000 youth from Kerala have enrolled for recruitment as Agniveers in the defence forces. This was against the strong opposition of the LDF and UDF. The ruling LDF (Left Democratic Front) and the opposition UDF (United Democratic Front) are both in power. Mr. Javadekar said Agniveer is a good scheme in which the youth want to be part of the scheme.
The LDF & UDF and many other opposition parties opposed the scheme for political purposes, especially regarding youth.
He stated that a lack of youth has been enrolled throughout the country to be Agniveers as it allows them to join the defence forces and open up bright opportunities in other sectors, in addition to a good package at the age of 22.
The negative politics of opposition parties vitiated the atmosphere and tried to spread misinformation among the youth, he added.
