The decision to appoint transgenders in the police force has not yet been implemented. Transgenders have alleged that no procedure has yet been followed regarding the appointment.
“There is only an announcement if you declare that you can take a few people to the police. They are willing to embrace and support excellent deeds done for the community. However, we continue to experience harassment wherever we go”, said the transgender spokesperson.
They made the point that the government should provide more information about the appointment and that many of the community projects were just intended to be announced. Faced with serious discrimination even from official organisations, they are demanding that transgender people be offered opportunities in government services.
