In October, Xiaomi’s Redmi debuted the Note 12 series, which is now only available in China. The Note 12 series will soon be released in India, according to a recent announcement from Redmi’s Indian division.
Four smartphones make up the Redmi Note 12 series: the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Redmi Note 12 Discovery (aka Explorer). Redmi appears to be bringing three Note 12 smartphones to India for now.
Redmi hasn’t given any specific names, but a closer look at the ad makes it appear that the vanilla model won’t be introduced in India. The Note 12 sports a dual camera arrangement on the back with a circular flash, whilst other models in the sequence have a triple rear camera setup with different-shaped flash modules. And each of the three phones has a triple camera configuration.
The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition has a 200MP primary camera and 210W wired charging, whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Discovery are all Dimensity 1080-powered smartphones with variations in the camera, battery, and memory categories.
Contrarily, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC-powered vanilla Note 12 has a lower-resolution camera and a slower charging speed.
