Tennis legend Roger Federer announces retirement

Tennis legend Roger Federer is calling it quits. 

Through his Twitter account, the actor made this announcement. 

Federer claimed that medical considerations led to the choice. 

Federer’s final competition will be the Laver Cup in London the following week. 

All sports fans have been let down by Federer, who has played tennis for the past 24 years.

Federer played more than 1,500 matches in his 24-year career. Injuries have been bothering the 41-year-old star for the past 3 years. Swiss star Federer has captured the love of sports lovers around the world. Having won a total of 20 career Grand Slams, Federer was the epitome of dignity and composure on and off the court. Federer was the king of tennis field after a record 237 consecutive weeks at Number one.
