The state is seeing more incidents of missing people. In Kerala within 6 months of this year, 6544 incidents of missing persons were reported.
9713 instances were reported in 2021. 8742 incidents of missing men have also been reported for 2020. 12,802 instances were reported in 2019. Malabar has the majority of unsolved missing person instances. There are 54 missing persons cases pending with Kozhikode Rural Police. Kozhikode is followed by Kannur with 52 cases and Kasargod with 32 cases.
