Red Alert announced at Edamalayar Dam

At Edamalayar Dam, a red alert has been declared. Idamalayar Dam’s water level is rising. 163.5 metres of water are submerged at this time. The level of the rule curve is 164 metres.

The red alert, the third phase warning, was made public as part of the adjustment of the water level as the water flow to the dam increased. The dam must be opened in order to release the water, and KSEB has ordered that preliminary preparations be made.
