Punjab Roadways is all set to start its direct bus service to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi from Wednesday after almost a gap of three years. The Chief Ministers of Punjab and Delhi will flag off two buses from the bus stand.
The Delhi CM along with the Delhi Transport Minister and officials will land in a chartered plane at the Adampur airport while CM Bhagwant Mann will arrive in a chopper with his team.
Ahead of the visit, hoardings regarding the launch of the service have been put up along the Adampur-Jalandhar stretch.
Both the CM will drive to the Jalandhar bus stand past noon.
The Roadways had last plied buses in December 2018, after which they were impounded by the Delhi transport authorities for allegedly failing to produce the agreement copy of the Roadways with the Delhi Airport Parking Authority, which allows the entry of buses.
