The state’s highways are being counted for potholes by the police. It has been suggested that the quantity of hazardous potholes be counted. The district police chiefs gave the SHOs the assignment to count the number of potholes on the roadways in accordance with the police headquarters’ orders.
The decision was made in response to accidents and passengers hitting potholes. The High Court got involved in the situation as well. The order arrived yesterday. Mohammad Riyas, the minister of public works, retorted that regardless of the department’s road, there need to be no potholes. The minister added that the state of public roads has improved since the DLP board was published.
