Part Of Key Highway NH06 In North East Collapses After Rain, Landslides

Some parts of the National Highway 6 (NH06) in the Lumshnongd area of Meghalaya have caved in due to landslides triggered by incessant rains.

The landslides have hit the vehicular movement along the highway and several vehicles are stranded since last night, officials said.

The highway connects Southern Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and parts of Manipur to the rest of the country.
