The petition presented by the Kifa organization’s office holders was taken into consideration by Justice V.G. Arun. Following Onam holidays, the High Court has agreed to revisit the issue. Thattekad is a hamlet in the Ernakulam district’s Kutampuzha grama panchayat. It is a location that is 17 km away from Kothamangalam town. The Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is situated here.
The two Periyar tributaries pass by Thattekad’s two sides before coming together at the Bhuthathan Kett Dam’s storage area. Thattekad is a water-encircled promontory covered with trees. One of Kerala’s top tourist spots, Thattekkad draws both tourists and bird watchers.
