NASA launched its most potent rocket to date from its base in Florida on Wednesday. Artemis 1 took off to the Moon, expecting to arrive at the satellite and return to Earth in the next 25 days.
No astronauts were on board the spacecraft. However, the success of the Artemis 1 mission will be decisive for developing Artemis 2 and 3, which will carry humans to the Moon for the first time since Apollo 17 landing in 1972.
Artemis 1 is expected to land back in the Pacific Ocean on December 11.
