The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV was introduced earlier this month, and it is already arriving to NEXA dealerships all throughout the nation where it is on display. NEXA dealers are currently accepting reservations for the small SUV and will shortly begin offering test drives of the Grand Vitara. Before the Grand Vitara’s introduction in September 2022, Maruti Suzuki has already taken over 40,000 reservations. Deliveries will also start in September, just following the debut.
On August 16, 2022, Toyota was supposed to introduce the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Grand Vitara. However, for unspecified reasons, the introduction date has been postponed. The Toyota Hyryder is expected to debut in September 2022 as well. All Toyota dealerships in India are accepting pre-orders for the Hydeer, and test drives will start after the vehicle is introduced.
Notably, Toyota will concurrently manufacture the Hyryder and the Maruti Grand Vitara at its Bidadi plant outside of Bengaluru. With the exception of exterior styling, the SUVs Hyrder and Grand Vitara are identical. Two different engine options will be offered for both SUVs: a 1.5 litre K15C petrol mild hybrid and a 1.5 litre TNGA petrol strong hybrid.
