Thrissur, Oct 25 (IVC) Thirty-four year old housewife , daughter-in-law of Kottekadan Johnson and wife Jojy, succumbed to burn injuries on Oct 23 night, police said.
The deceased suffered burn injuries when her father-in-law Johnson , poured petrol into the bed room of his son, his wife and their child and set ablaze with a malicious intention of removing them from the surface of earth on the 14th September 2023, following family quarrel, police said.
Her husband Jojy (38) and 12-year-old son died on Sept 14 itself when Johnson poured petrol into their bed room and set ablaze at Mannuthy, police added. The Liji was in the hospital for over one month with burn injuries of her internal organs, doctors attending on her said.
The accused Johnson consumed poisonous substance with an intent of killing himself and died on Sept 21, the police said. The provocation for Johnson to commit such a felony was family quarrels, police said.
