Vilangad town and shops were flooded. It is suspected that the water entered the Wayanad forests as a result of the high water level. Additionally flooded was Vilangad Valuk Bridge.
There is an indication that a landslide in the forest area in Vilangad Panom area of Kozhikode. Additionally, the river’s water level increased.
Landslides may have also happened in Kannur’s Nedumpoil forest at the same time. In Netumpoil, a flash flood happened close to the seminary villa. Traffic on the Mananthavadi road in Netumpoil was obstructed as a result. Different regions of the state are still seeing isolated rain.
