KSRTC will distribute salary arrears tomorrow

The Chief Minister promised that tomorrow the KSRTC employees would receive their back pay. The guarantee was given by the chief minister at a conversation with the labour unions today. The opposition unions, however, have made it clear that they will not consent to the implementation of 12-hour single duty. A thorough debate would be had in this regard, the Chief Minister announced during the meeting.

The Chief Minister recommended the implementation of single duty. According to BMS, it is not feasible. After the meeting, the TDF leaders clarified that the Chief Minister has agreed to pay the salary by the 5th of every month.

CITU should simultaneously verify KSRTS’s revenue and expense data. The leaders added that the Chief Minister had been given a false estimate by management. The conversation, according to the leaders, was a choice for the KSRTC’s successful future.

Thousands of nearly naked migrants found on Turkish-Greek border

The group’s arrival under circumstances that, according to the Greek ministry of civil protection, gave forth a “inhuman picture,” was confirmed by EU border agency Frontex to AFP. Theodorikakos claimed that many of the migrants told Frontex that “three Turkish army vehicles had relocated them” to the river, which serves as a natural border, when speaking on Skai television. The Turkish presidency rejected any responsibility for the refugees in a string of critical tweets, blaming Greece for the “inhuman” circumstances. Fahrettin Altun, the top press aide to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wrote: “We urge Greece to stop its harsh treatment of refugees as soon as possible, to cease its frivolous and misleading accusations against Turkey. In tweets sent in Turkish, Greek, and English, he continued, “With these pointless and ridiculous efforts, Greece has once again shown to the entire world that it does not respect the dignity of refugees by posting these oppressed people’s pictures it has deported after extorting their personal belongings.” Ismail Catakli, the deputy interior minister for Turkey, urged Greece to cease its “manipulations and dishonesty” in a tweet. Notis Mitarachi, the Greek minister in charge of immigration and asylum, had called the occurrence on Saturday “a stain on civilization.” NGOs and the media frequently accuse Athens of trying to forcibly return migrants to Turkey, something the Greek capital consistently refutes. Erdogan charged Greece of turning the Aegean Sea into a “cemetery” with “oppressive tactics” on immigration in a speech to the UN last month. Rights organisation Mare Liberum, located in Berlin, tweeted: “In the Evros region, systematic human rights abuses against individuals on the move are committed by Turkey as well as Greece on a daily basis.” The group continued, “When these crimes are openly acknowledged by government officials, it simply serves to stoke the fire of the protracted war between Turkey and Greece, not to protect persons on the move.
