There are signs that Kodiyeri Balakrishnan would leave his position as CPIM State Secretary. The CPIM central leadership has been made aware of Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s health issues. The topic will be discussed at the PB meeting that will be held in Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow.
Yechury and Karat will be among the six PB members present for the meeting. A interim arrangement or a new secretary will be chosen at the meeting. The final decision will be made following the state secretariat meeting, central leaders inform.
The government-governor contest will also be discussed in the PB meeting.The previous day, CPIM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan entered the fray by reacting angrily toward Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Kodiyeri made it plain in a piece for the party daily that the governor is acting as Modi’s shovel.
