Kerala assembly session resume today





After a four-day vacation, the assembly session will resume today. After being reviewed by the Subject Committee, the University Bill will be debated in the House today. Today will see the presentation of the subject committee’s report, which was presided over by Education Minister V. Shivankutty. The Governor’s position will be crucial even if the House approves the legislative modifications.

The House will meet again on Thursday following a holiday. The House will also receive subject committee reports on the bills for the Kerala Public Enterprises Board, Industry Single Window Clearance Board, Fiscal Responsibility, and Local Self-Government Public Service.

Ramesh Chennithala, a former opposition leader, has called for steps to improve the efficiency of the Alappuzha Medical College’s operations. Health Minister Veena George will respond.

During the question-and-answer period, the ministers of the Devaswom, Forest, Water Resources, and Animal Welfare departments will respond. According to indications, the opposition will bring up the KSRTC financial crisis in the House today. The opposition has made a proposal to bring up the subject urgently in the House.
