The district of Kasaragod has had the most domestic visitor arrivals ever. After the covid concerns subsided, the district’s tourist hubs started to bustle. According to Minister PA Muhammad Riyas, the district had developed unique plans to promote domestic travel.
In the first half of the financial year, Kasaragod received more than 1.5 lakh domestic visitors. The data from April through September shows positive trends. Since Kasaragod district’s creation, this year has had its highest volume of domestic travellers. The plans, according to Minister Muhammad Riyas, were developed with domestic tourism in mind.
In the entire district, Bekal Fort attracted the most visitors. Domestic tourists’ preferred destinations now include the houseboat tours at Valiaparamba, Pallikkara and Ranipuram hill station. The district’s tourism agency has made the decision to develop additional marketing strategies.
