In the ivory case, Perumbavoor Magistrate Court requests a personal appearance from Mohanlal. The bench of Justice Mary Joseph denied Mohanlal’s request for a personal appearance waiver.
The Perumbavoor Magistrate Court is hearing the ivory case right now. The government had submitted a petition to the Magistrate’s Court asking for permission to end its involvement in the prosecution of the case. However, that plea was denied by the magistrate court. Then Mohanlal addressed the High Court about this. The government is required to go before the High Court when its plea is denied. Otherwise, Justice Mary Joseph enquired as to how Mohanlal planned to approach the High Court.
In the appeal, Mohanlal claimed to have the ivory’s ownership certificate. Nevertheless, the court will investigate whether this document was on hand when the ivory was taken and whether there was legitimate possession in the ivory case. After Onam, the court will take the case again.
