Huge Investment: Tamil Nadu proposes electric vehicle policy

Tamil Nadu government has announced policy plans to promote electric vehicles and attract car manufacturers. One and a half lakh new jobs and an investment of 50,000 crore rupees are anticipated from this.

This was released on Tuesday by the chief minister, M.K. Stalin. The programme, which is in place for five years, offers appealing rewards to companies who establish an electric vehicle production facility.

Until December 31, 2025, electric vehicle owners will continue to receive tax breaks. Those starting charging stations will receive support and funding. Affordably priced electricity will be made available.
