How to dispose national flag

The disposal of deteriorated national flags may rise some qustions because at the condition of being completely unusable, the national flag should be disposed in a dignified manner befitting its dignity.

According to the Flag Code of India, 2002, there are two ways to dispose of the national flag which are burn or bury. Strict rules have to be followed even when choosing any of these processes.

Before burying the flag should be folded properly and placed in a wooden box. A moment of silence should be observed when the flags are buried.

The second process is to burn the flag. For this we shuld choose a proper place and clean it. Fold the flag then burn it unrolled.
It should be noted that the national flag is a symbol of pride of the nation and its dignity should be preserved even at the disposal.
