The Meteorological Center has issued a warning that the state may see heavy rain today. In the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Idukki, a red alert has been issued. In the districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Kottayam, an orange alert has been issued. Additionally, the districts from Thrissur to Kasaragod have been placed on yellow alert.
The Kerala coast has been closed to fishing until Thursday due to the potential for severe winds. Tomorrow, on Uthradam Day, a rain warning has been issued for eight districts, from Ernakulam to Kannur, and for Thiruvonam Day, for the districts of Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod.
Following the torrential rains, more NDRF teams will arrive in the state. The delegation will visit the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kollam, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. Today’s school holiday has been declared in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. Idamalayar Dam’s red warning has been issued due to the rising water level.
