Fire breaks out in Gaza residential building, killing 21 people

A fire broke out in a residential building in Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp reportedly left 21 people dead and three injured.

Ambulances, Police and rescue services could be seen assisting the victims and securing the area.

The Ministry of Interior Spokesperson Iyad Albozom attributed the cause of the fire to the storage of gasoline inside this building.

The ministry confirmed that the civil defence crews had finished putting out the fire.

The national government declared official mourning for the victims, most of the members of the same family, including seven children at least.
