CPI criticise govt in silver line project

The government has been criticised for failing to complete the Silver Line project at the CPI Thrissur district meeting. Concerns about the social and environmental impacts persisted among the populace. According to the CPI’s activity report, both the Congress and the BJP used this omission for political gain.

Officials’ rash decision to bury the yellow stump of K Rail was a fueling of the fire. The leadership was also condemned by the CPI for enforcing the plan rather than consulting the populace first. Today will see more debate on the organisational activity report.

The CPI-M received harsh criticism as well from the CPI. Even CPI ministers are under CPIM’s control. The Left Front needs to take an unwavering stance. However, the report also chastised the CPIM for occasionally displaying authoritarian inclinations.
