In Idukki, a police officer and a companion were caught with the illegal substance MDMA. Shanavas MJ, CPO of Idukki AR Camp, was busted with narcotics. Additionally, Excise detained his companion Shamnaz Shaji. Around 11.30 am, both were apprehended at Mudalkodam, which is close to Thodupuzha.
They were detained as a result of a top-secret tip about drug deals. 3.6 grammes of MDMA, 20 grammes of dried ganja, a car, and a bike were taken from them by the excise squad.
