Effective from October 1, 2024, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has been increased by ₹48 nationwide. This price hike impacts sectors such as hospitality, catering, and other commercial industries that depend on 19-kg cylinders for their operations. The new rates will vary by region, reflecting local price adjustments.
Despite the rise in commercial LPG prices, domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged, offering some relief to households. The decision to keep domestic rates steady follows a ₹200 price cut in August, which aimed to mitigate inflationary pressures on consumers.
The price revision is part of the monthly adjustments made by oil marketing companies in response to changes in global crude oil prices. This move highlights the ongoing volatility in the fuel market, affecting business costs while sparing households from additional financial strain.
