“BJP offered Rs 20 crore to four MLAs to switch sides,” AAP charges BJP

On Wednesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the BJP had approached four of its Delhi legislators, urging them to switch sides and join the saffron party or face “false cases, the CBI, and the ED.”

Sanjay Singh, AAP’s national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP, told a press conference that the legislators – Ajay Dutt, Sanjeev Jha, Somnath Bharati, and Kuldeep – had been approached by leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with whom they have “friendly relations.”

“They have each been offered Rs 20 crore to join the party and Rs 25 crore to bring other MLAs with them,” Singh said.

Singh accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying “by hook or crook” to bring AAP legislators into the BJP fold and destabilise the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi.

The four AAP MLAs who were allegedly approached by the BJP attended the press conference as well.
